IDEAL HIGHLANDER Permanent Upland Graze
15% Early Perennial ryegrass, Diploid, 10% Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass, Tetraploid, 15% Intermediate Perennial Ryegrass Diploid, 20% Late Perennial Ryegrass, Diploid DNDF, 15% Late Perennial Ryegrass, Tetraploid DNDF, 10% Strong Creeping Red Fescue, 10% Intermediate Timothy, 5% Medium White Clover

Permanent pasture mixture originally formulated by myself in 1996 and since adopted by other leading suppliers, the mixture was originally named “Highlander +Altitude” although after successful on farm trials in lowland farms, we decided to drop the “+altitude”: Billy Nimmo, MD, I-DS.

Providing excellent long-seasonal grass yields for grazing and silage if required over many years. Timothy is extremely resistant to cold temperatures and provides good late-season growth. The thick bottomed sward structure is obtained by using late perennial ryegrasses, creeping fescues and highly nutritious white clover. This mixture is very hardy and can be grown in upland or lowland areas.
